visual media.

along with music, i've also always been passionate about visual art. in 2022, i began to define a distinct style for myself as i created pixel-art in adobe's photoshop, using a limited palette of striking colours and small canvas. i initially did this just for fun, designing 1 artwork every day in october of 2022, before making use of my skills to redesign cover art for my music releases. by using photoshop to make little artworks, i also learned how to use its creative tools to edit photos and create meaningful visual assets. these visual assets can be seen across this site, and other online spaces of mine such as my spotify or instagram. in 2024, i was able to utilise both my musical and visual skills to create multimedia projects, using the software touch designer to create music-video-like sketches and animations.

i continue to work in the same style on larger individual pieces, introducing some new techniques and colours to elevate the pieces. most of the artworks only serve to explore another side of my creative expression, rather than being created for a larger purpose. i am inspired by video-games, movies and tv-shows and often enjoy seeing things from other media portrayed in my art style.

multimedia projects.

videos, film compositions, animations and more.

digital story interview

a video essay for an assignment constructed from interviews with established musicians toby hobart, an emerging artist, producer and creative, and kate freeman, a musician and music educator, with voice-over elements discussing my findings.

ephialtes electrified

a film composition i did in early 2023 as apart of my university studies. i worked with my tutor, tom green, to refine the piece's musical themes and motifs and to achieve my aesthetic goals.

reminisce 2600

a demonstration of my pure data patch, which was a component of my music degree which saw me learn synthesis using the software. this patch was for my piece "reminisce 2600", which was inspired by the music of C418.

end of the show

a video of a live performance, featuring a unique animated music video in a pixel-art style. the music and visuals follow the narrative of a live band (called The Band) performing a song, which our main character, a fan of this band, goes to attend.
